About Me

Siwar Al Assad is a multilingual Syrian-born author who has carved a distinctive literary path, writing in both French and English. Educated in Switzerland, Great Britain, and at the prestigious Panthéon-Sorbonne University in Paris, Siwar’s novels explore themes of love, identity, justice, and cultural preservation. His published works include the romantic thriller A Coeur Perdu, its English counterpart Guard Thy Heart, the historical epic Le temps d’une saison, and the homage Palmyre pour toujours. Beyond fiction, he contributed the preface to Pourquoi ils font le Djihad. Now based in London, he also leads the Arab News Network and the Aramea Foundation. His writing reflects his deeply held belief in dialogue, heritage, and the transformative power of storytelling.

Born into Syria’s prominent family, Siwar chose to channel his personal history and global perspective into literature rather than politics. His life’s trajectory—shaped by early exile, academic excellence, and professional leadership—has informed a unique voice in the literary world. With each book, he invites readers into emotional and intellectual spaces that challenge assumptions and foster understanding across cultures.

Siwar’s dedication to the written word matches his commitment to humanitarian values. Through the Aramea Foundation, he advocates for Syrian refugees and the protection of Levantine cultural heritage. His work not only remembers the past but actively seeks a more just, peaceful future—anchored in respect, empathy, and truth.

Whether crafting stories spanning continents or speaking at international forums on Middle Eastern affairs, Siwar Al Assad remains steadfast in his mission: to use literature for connection, healing, and enduring cultural dialogue. His books, shaped by experience and imagination, resonate with readers who seek depth, meaning, and beauty in the written word.
